Set within the Manyoni Private Game Reserve, Mavela Twin Spot Villa is a private game lodge designed to immerse its occupants in the surrounding bushveld landscape. The architecture adopts a restrained, natural material palette and a series of pavilion-like spaces that respond to the site’s rugged setting. Open-plan living areas flow into generous outdoor spaces, creating a close relationship between the interior and the surrounding vegetation. Carefully framed views, shaded terraces and a strong connection to the landscape allow the villa to become a quiet base from which to experience the reserve.
